Hoofbeats In Heaven, is dedicated to the horses, over the years, that we at Meadow Hill Farm, rescued, and to the horses that came to us to retire that has past away. Yes, folks, besides us rescuing horses and bringing them back to health and being happy they made it, there is also a sad side of things when we have to deal with the passing of a horse or animal. Each horse that passes away at Meadow Hill Farm Rescue, is treated with great respect with prayer. Each horse is buried out in the pasture, there is a bed of hay placed in the grave and a home made cross, is placed on the top of the horses body before, the soil covers them. The horses was very old at their passing and most in their age 30's. one of the horses was almost age 35. The only horses we had that past at age 15 and 28, was Jake, a palomino gelding, he had a long history of degenerative joint disease, and was on medication for a long time until one day it was his time to say bye. and Benny a standardbred gelding that came off the track, with pin fired leg injuries, unfortunately his joints packed in and he was unable to walk and had to be put to sleep on Dec 29 2015. In loving memory of Brandy, Cabin, Jake and Benny. The first pictures are Brandy Black TWH Mare, she was a angel of a horse and sweet as can be. she came to us to retire. Cabin, Buckskin mare, was a brood mare by previous owners, and after years of breeding she needed a home to rest her head, She was a loving mare. Jake was a QH Palomino gelding, he was so very loving and shown just how much he appreciated things. Benny, the off the track standardbred gelding, who was known as the big gentle giant. God bless them all, we miss them dearly and they will be forever in are hearts and never forgotton, "RIP Sweethearts".
Pets in heaven: RIP Clifford Jan 27 2016. Clifford was a very special loving guard dog here at the rescue farm. He will be remembered for his loving ways and being so smart and protective. We loved him dearly and he will be so missed. RIP sweetheart

Clifford Past away over the rainbow bridge to be with the Lord and his pet friends in the kingdom of heaven, on Jan 27th 2016. He was a Wonderful precious, loving and protective, Guard dog that we took into the rescue as a 6 weeks old puppy, and he stayed with us ever since, although he grown old over the years, we did not have a clue he was going to pass away sudden, this dog was 12 years old, and he was still walking around active and greeting us, until that morning we found him at peace and past. I guess he loved us so much that he just did not want us to know that he was about to pass away. The lord was kind, clifford did not suffer for days or weeks, it was sudden. We are thinking it was either a sudden stroke or heart failure to be so quick. Dobermans are known for these type of health conditions. We will miss him so much. Clifford was buried out in the pasture next to the other horses and animals that have past away over the years at the rescue farm. God Bless you forever Clifford you was a strong, brave,dog, and we will dearly miss you and we loved you so much. I wish i could of held your sweet face in my arms as you was saying your final goodbye instead of me finding you there that morning, but i know that you knew me all too well, and you have watched me get emotional over the years with so many horses and animals, and having you for 12 years and the bond we shared with you, i think you did not want me to weep and be upset as i held you in those last moments, but i still cried when i saw you had gone. So this is for you XXXXXXXXXX. We Will love you always, God Bless You. |
